  1. In the poem "boys get more attention from their teachers than girls" i believe the title is true because boys usually do need more attention by teachers but not always in a good way. i'm not saying that all boys need attention for bad reasons but generally it is mostly boys who are the ones jsut stuffin' around. i think that probably in the recent years that girls and boys are evenly becoming the ones who need attention especially in high schools. but i judge this poem to be written about primary school children and i agree with the poem.

  2. The poet in this poem has conveyed his ideas about people socially blocking themselves from society and people following unreasonable traditions in this poem he conveyed his opinions, in a very subtle way as not to offend.

  3. ۞۩ I think that this is steriotypical, saying that all boys cannot control themselves, and that they cannot learn. That, no matter which year of education it is, is not true. There are many examples of this which prove this poem wrong, as well as steriotypical!!۩۞

  4. i believe that boys DO get more attention than girls because of their behaviour for one.
the teachers are too busy trying to trying to get the boys to behave that the girls get left out or 'more attention'.
i agree with this poem 100%

  5. the poem boys get more attention from their teachers than girls" there is evidence of boundries like the girls are put back further and further in the order to be seenwhich could mean a problem on the grade of there class. this also bring in that the teacher has no control over on side of the class room which brings in difficultes teaching. i agree that all student should be taught fairly.

  6. I think that this "boys need more attention than girls" is right. Boys can sometimes be a bit immature at school in front of their friends, but im not saying that girls don't, because i've seen quite a few silly girls. "Timothy Winters" sounds like a bit of a mischeif maker and i think that he needs more attention from the teachers to calm him down.

  9. I think the poem boys get more attention than girls is true as stereotypical guys are always wanting attention and for it they get in trouble therefore more attention.

  10. I think that in the poem "mending wall", the writer has used very expressive language. He has told us about a wall creating a boundary between two neighbours, and has used REPETITION in his poem to give it a more figurative meaning.

  11. ...actually i changed my mind. i dont think that boys need more attention than girls these days because girls are equally getting in trouble as boys. (Y)

  16. I don't think that all boy's need more attention than girl's, some individuals may need more attention than others for reasons they cannot control or something, whether it being a boy or a girl.

  17. ۞۩ It just depends as to who the person is, how they work and how hard they work, and how much they muck around, male or female.۞۩

  18. The poem, "Boys get more attention from their teachers than girls", relates to the theme boundaries because it shows the difficulties of trying to control a class. The poem is incorrect because not all boys are hard to control in class. Also some girls can be hard to control in class aswell as boys. This poem is very stereotypical against boys.

  19. some teachers trat boys worse than girls just because of there gender.say if a boy even whispers there get yelled at but if a girl talkes no they are allow to chat at the back of the room and not get yelled at.

  24. ۞۩ This poem is SOOO biased, based on the fact that a female teacher who thinks males are incapable of learning. STERIOTYPICAL and BIASED!!

  25. ...two camels in a tiny car..i win. and i guess it is quite biased.

  26. We can feel the teachers frustration, but in reality the interruptions in class are not gender related. This type of sterotyping can only cause problems. I also agree with jarrod it is steritypical and biased!

  27. I think that it is the persons decision if they want to learn or not. in most cases (not all) the boys muck up and the girls do the chatting. It is up to the people themselves if they want to be difficult. This poem is stereotypical, but true, in most cases. It is not wrong to write a stereotypical poem, and it is obviously her experiences. It doesnt matter if you agree with the poem, it is just a poem and doesnt needed to be taken to heart, the whole point of a poem is to tell a story, and that is what she is doing.
