  1. I think that "mending wall" was the poem that best described 'boundaries' because the two neighbours in the poem kept to their side of the fence all year round, they both had to re-build the wall when it crumbled to the ground or when people knocked stones off it. The wall was there throughout all seasons, keeping a clean boundary between the two neighbours.

  2. during the poem mending wall there are lots of great examples and show further insite to the meaning. the persona is trying to be a better friend to the person next door but he presites with the wall and mending it ever spring the "sun, snow and hunters" all come and destroy the wall. "good fences make good neighbours" says the neighbour that is still putting a physical boundry betwwen him and the out side world. he also make up thing to stop his neighbour tearing it down. still this is the best poem to describe the meaning of boundries.

  4. I think the poem mending wall best describes Boundaries. Because there is more than one boundary, they are the physical rock wall and the boundary of the neighbours theory that "good fences make good neighbours" as he says "He will not go behind his fathers saying"
so this shows that the neighbour is limiting his freedom and blocking himself from the outside world all in the name of tradition.

  5. I thing that the poem,"Mending Wall" is connected to the topic, Boundaries. Such as the concept of there being a stone wall between two neighbours, separating each other and their land. Hence, this is the major boundary in the poem. "Good Fences Make Good Neighbours", as directly quoted from the poem, suggests that this certain boundery is a good thing, when in fact the person in the poem thinks otherwise. This wall dod not need to be there, but the neighbour insists that, "Good Fences Make Good Neighbours".

  6. The poem, Mending the wall deffintly has more then one boundrie symbolised in its words. Theres the physical boundrie of the bolders and rocks, along with the fact that he does want to be friends but his neighbour does not. Due to his neighbour limiting their relationship all year round there is no chance of friendship and it wuold make it rather hard to overcome this boundrie.

  7. The poem 'Mending Walls' displays good boundaries. The boundaries that are mentioned are about two neighbours keeping to their side of the wall that seperates the two propeties. When the wall gets damaged they both have to re-bulid the wall. The wall is there throughout all seasons to keep a boundary between both neighbours.

  10. I believe that "mending walls" showed the strongest form of boundaries, as it shows us that neighbours are trying to mend the wall that separates them, because this wall separates their properties and their lives. I belie that “We keep the wall between us as we go” shows a insight to what the poem is about. Also “good fences make good neighbours” shows us that they both believe that the wall should be their, and to make sure they do not invade on each others property. Thus I believe that “mending walls.

  11. Mending walls is a good poem to highlight the theme "boundaries" because of the of the main feature in the poem which is the stone wall. throughout the seasons the farmers of both sides must rebuild the wall when it falls victum to the weather etc. to keep the boundary lines off theeir properties in tact. the saying used during the poem "good fences make good neighbours" shows how both the farmers follow one mans belifs in keeping to the tradition of his fathers belifs in keeping the wall in good condition so that the boundaries involved stay the same.

  12. good fences make good neighbours mean that there is a boundary in the middle of them that keeps them apart, the boundary is the fence. even though it gets ruined they fix it.

  13. The poem "Mending A Wall" best describes the theme boundaries. It is about two people, equally sharing their sides. The wall gets damaged and they both have to agree with a strategy in fixing the issue.

  15. I think that the poem 'Mending Wall' is a better example of boundaries because of the wall they have dividing their yards that they re-build every season."Good fences make good neighbours" supports my answer.

  16. The boundaries highlighted in the poem "Mending Wall" are both emotional and physical. The physical boundaries being that there is an actual fence seperating the two properties. The emotional boundaries being that there is a barrier inbetween the two, which one of the neighbours wants to keep because he is a reserved person and also doesn't want to have much to do with his neighbour; both keeping to their side of the fence.

  17. "good fences make good nieghbours"
mending wall was about the boundaries between two people keeping to their own sides and working together to fix the rock wall as it was being ruined.

  18. I think 'mending wall’ because they are building a physical boundary (stone wall) and building a good relation ship with each other. “Good fences make good neighbors” is his reasons for building the fence….

  19. I think that the poem "Mending Wall" contained the best examples for the theme boundaries. The poem has both physical and physiological boundaries. The physical being the wall that they are building and the physiological boundary is that the other man thinks that he needs to have a wall between him and his neighbour. The other man says "good fences makes good neighbours".

  20. I think that 'mending wall' goes with the theme boundaries better than 'timothy Winter'. Mending wall has physical boundaries and mental boundaries. The mental boundary is that he can't build a relationship with his neighbour. He would like to make a relationship but his neighbour doesn't want any thing to do with him. The physical boundary is the wall that they need to fix once a year. The poem is a great example of boundaries.

  21. I believe that 'mending walls' shows us the strongest form of BOUNDARIES. The Boundaires that are highlighted in Mending Walls are physiacal yet emotional. The physical boundaries being, is the rebuilding of the fence in between their two property's. The emotional beiing that he is a person who doesn't like to have contact with his neighours and just wants to live life on his property and not be bothered. This is an awesome poem to highlight our theme "boundaries".

  22. The poem "Mending Walls" is a great example of the boundaries as the neighbours are separated by a stone wall. They are both keeping to them selves and not bothering each other. Through out the seasons of the year they both get together and rebuild the wall as is disinigarates because of the weather.
